Matthew Campbell Only recently discovered this artist, and while I like pretty much everything he's done, this one stands out for me. Relaxed pacing, but not exactly mellow. From the start of song 1 to the last seconds of song 5, it flows perfectly for me. And the guitar work... Great stuff, this. Favorite track: Lifeboat.

A year's worth of experimentation in recording processes, purging hard times, learning to make things more simple than you'd initially like to, reconnecting with American music, and learning to be in a band all over again. This record is similar to "Old Ways To Nowhere" (Zelienople) for me. Simple, loose and dreamlike. It's about as direct from my head and hands to your ears as I know how to get.

Thanks to all of the people who bought my records this year, and thanks to those of you who came out to see me play. It means so much to me. This forum (Bandcamp) has kept me sane through hard times, and allowed me to connect with you directly.

Things will be slowing down for a while...

The earlier releases were all strong, but I love the bit of "crunch" added to the guitars on this one. I would never have described their music as great to listen to while driving on a sunny day... until this one arrived. Excellent album. Matthew Campbell
