about

This album is dedicated to all of the people out there who spent less time debating on how to battle systemic racism, and more time doing. I myself debated on how to best take action. But, after being inspired by a local community activist who organized a protest in less than 24 hours, I realized that I was making excuses when I thought I was just identifying challenges. I went to 5 protests over the 2 weeks after the death of George Floyd. A couple of these were in areas and situations where (based on hysterical news reports) had a potential for danger. The anger was real and couldn't be ignored. But, that anger is pushing people to do beautiful things and it in many ways renewed my faith in humanity. The youth of today may bring us closer to a society that many of us thought was out of reach.
